Is this the little girl I carried?
Is this the little boy at play?
(Golde)
I don't remember growing older
When did they?
(Tevye)
When did she get to be a beauty?
When did he get to be so tall?
(Golde)
Wasn't it yesterday
When they were small?

Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly flow the days
Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers
Blossoming even as we gaze
(Women)
Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly fly the years
One season following another
Laden with happiness and tears

Ah...so you're into torture today, huh, CJ!
Seriously, as you move into this next season (yes, one laden with happiness and tears) just remember you're surrounded, above, below, and beside by so many who love and admire you. And a Father who will never let you walk alone...
Now put that fiddle away, I'm running out of kleenex!
"...what words of wisdom can I give her, how can I help to ease her way?"
"...you don't tug on Superman's cape, you don't spit into the wind, you don't pull the mask off the old lone ranger and you don't mess around with jim"
-Caleb
you're just full of sentimentality, aren't you, Caleb? You need to go to a good musical :-)
We don't allow CJ to "mess around" with anyone, Caleb, but thanks for being helpful.
its ok, he meant jim croce and who wants to mess around with a dead guy?
Annie
For all of you who don't know, Fiddler on the Roof is one of our all time favorites. The A Team would watch it once a quarter, at least. Most of the B Team, minus Sis, don't have the same appreciation for it as the rest of us. But that song speaks volumes for Cathi and me.
DAD!! i love that movie! that and the Princess Bride are my alltime favorite family movies!!
Mazel Tov, Tseitl
Like I said, the B Team, except for Sis and Shelley...
lol thanks for revealing my identity, dad. :-D
i don't think your identity was ever in question...
ALL RIGHT!! Girls--do you see that? Your father says, "for Cathi and ME" instead of "Cathi and *I*". HURRAY! We've finally convinced him that prepositional phrases have to take pronouns in the objective case! This is a true miracle! (High fives to all of you who have assisted me in this venture, even you, Nathan!)
I'd like to take 31% of the credit for this.
i second that!
Well, for myself, personally, I want to say that me and your Mother are thankful for your help.
okay, so much for miracles. it was a fluke and i admit it.
*starts singing* miracle of miracles!
